I Am A Deliberate

I am a deliberate
Born from a deliberate rebirth
Living life for all it’s fucking worth
Taking from my past death
Deliberate new breath
Filling my lungs with new life
Open up my once closed eyes
Seeing the world from a deliberate perspective
Making all new friends but being far more selective
Learning to make a difference in this new life
I’m not sure how to deliberately advise
Myself about how I’ll survive this place
So as not to leave again in disgrace
This is my chance to show discretion
While I’m acting out my intention
To leave my life better than it started
I found that out last time I departed
I wasn’t fully committed
The last time when I visited
This time around I have a deliberate plan
To live life knowing I’m a far better human
Giving to others so much more than I take
Making up for any of my past mistakes
Avoid causing any unnecessary pain
So when I die I will have nothing to explain
Unlike my last life being filled with so very much remorse
This time I will set my sights on a very different course
